Nichiha, leader in fiber cement siding and accessories, announces Broadleaf Logistics Company as the exclusive two-step distributor of Nichiha products to serve the Canadian commercial market sector. The two-step process will have Broadleaf carrying the commercial line of Nichiha products and distributing to other localized dealers in their network.
“We are very excited about partnering with a well-known company such as Broadleaf and look forward to many years of success this partnership will bring to both organizations,” says Tom Wingard, director of sales – specialty products division.
Broadleaf Logistics (the former Weyerhaeuser distribution business) was launched in June of 2007. The differentiated portfolio, combined with the enhanced focus on customer service, has resulted in Broadleaf as being seen as a leading provider of well-recognized brands across Canada.
“Nichiha is truly an innovative fiber cement provider with a well segmented portfolio offering. Its professional discipline and entrepreneurial approach under which Nichiha operates will make an ideal strategic partnership to service the Canadian building industry,” states Mike Gibson, director, product management and marketing of Broadleaf. “We are thrilled about the opportunity to make Nichiha successful in the Canadian commercial building market.”
In 1998, Nichiha U.S.A., Inc. was established in Norcross, Ga., as a joint venture of the Nichiha Corporation of Japan and the Sumitomo Corporations of Japan and North America. Nichiha, an international leader in fiber cement technology for more than 30 years, markets distinct patterns of fiber cement siding products in the U.S. In 2007, Nichiha opened its first U.S. manufacturing plant in Macon, Ga., responding to an increase in demand for fiber cement products in the Southeast market.
