It all begins with our website, <www.wallandceiling.ca>. Its fresh new design and totally searchable archive and subject database provide current and potential subscribers with a wealth of information about what's happening in the industry.
But that's not the best part. Subscribers will now be provided a "subscriber number," which will appear on the mailing address label on the cover of the magazine. Subscribers can visit the website and click "login" to create a user ID and password. Using this information, subscribers can instantly update their company listing, which appears both on the website and in print in our January / February Directory Issue. They will be able to categorize the type of business, product or service they provide, as well as the direct market(s) they serve. Companies with more than one location can identify Head Office and Branch locations, so potential clients know exactly where to go. Not only does this ensure maximum reach in the Directory Issue, but it makes companies available to the qualified, industry professionals that use our site and Directory Issue as tools in making key purchasing decisions.
Our new web-based system puts control of the directory listings in the hands of the user, meaning changes to an existing account can be made instantly, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Subscribers to both Canadian Wall and Ceiling Journal and Trowel will enjoy the benefit provided by only having to log in to one site. As soon as changes are made to an account in either magazine's site, the other is automatically updated. Both sites provide a full library of past issues and news topic categories, ensuring subscribers have full access to timely industry information, news and announcements.
This in only the beginning of our plan to upgrade our level of web-based service to our existing and potential subscribers. In the future, all of our sites will offer business services that facilitate electronic communications between companies and between us and company management. This means subscribers will never miss out on the opportunity to participate in a feature article or company profile, as announcements and calls for interest will be relayed in a highly-targeted and inclusive fashion.
We look forward to your feedback in testing out the new system. Comments and suggestions are welcome as we continually strive to improve our level of service and the quality of our print and online publications. Feedback on the website, its services and the new login process can be sent to
