After spending five years working with the University of Calgary researching and developing a line of footwear that delivers advanced protection, Mark’s Work Wearhouse is proud to launch Tarantula Anti-Slip.
The goal is to greatly reduce workplace slips, trips and falls. In fact, Mark’s is so dedicated to standardizing safety footwear that the company is working alongside the Canadian Standards Association to develop the future standards for anti-slip footwear.
“When assessing workplace necessities and looking for our newest innovation, Mark’s decided to target accidents before they happen,” says Lou Coslovich, Buyer, Industrial Footwear, Mark’s Work Wearhouse. “A safer workplace is what we are striving for, and Tarantula Anti-Slip footwear is the solution towards prevention.”
Risks in the construction sector are many and varied. Changeable weather can create muddy, slippery working conditions on outdoor sites, and uneven ground surfaces can increase slips and falls even in dry conditions. Other potential accidents include stepping on sharp objects such as nails and losing balance on ladders and scaffolding.
Available in an 8” and 6” boot, the Tarantula Anti-Slip Quad Comfort Boot has been designed specifically for dangerous and ever-changing construction sites.
Tarantula Anti-Slip is available at all Mark’s Work Wearhouse locations across Canada. For the store nearest you, visit <www.marks.com> or call 866.807.1903.
